Teapot

Mick tries to earn some change off the Broadway Market clientele with his harmonica. He has mixed fortunes, which says less about his musical chops than the generosity of people who would rather spend their money on free-range dishcloths.

Mick's a local, although he lives in Whitechapel now. It's less than a mile away, but in old money it's a distinct part of London from Hackney.

We heard some passers-by call him Teapot. He told us it was a nickname he earned when he was in jail where he drank a lot of tea and smoked a lot of pot. (In fact it was the latter that got him locked up.)
