Digging 43: Finished!

Backblip

Well, almost finished... the fencing panels have been removed, making the whole place look strangely smaller.
The more observant among you may have noticed that by the red and white metre scales is a grave that still has two skeletons in it! We were still lifting the bones, an hour and a half later.

The area closest to the camera will be excavated next week, with students doing the work ;) That is all just demolition rubble filling up the basement and sunken yard of the 1614 Library building; but all the delicate work is now over.

Most of the diggers are off to new jobs (though we're keeping a couple of staff on to help teach the students how to dig) and in a couple of weeks I'll be starting to clean and analyse the bones....indoors over the winter :^D
