Unsu-sa
This is a Buddhist temple (with Dangun shrine nearby) in-between two mountains, forming Maisan - a horse-ear shaped pair of mountains.
The guide book, and all the literature talk of horse-ear mountains, but all I can see are a mammoth set of boobies. Maybe it was my upbringing.
Of all things, there is a stairway leading up the cleavage (the pass between the two peaks), and this temple is nestled in there. There is also an ancient pear tree (with pears) and a giant drum, which you are allowed to bang...and I did.
All in all, a good day with about as much vertical climbing as there was horizontal distance covered (probably less than 2km round). Not too hot either, so it was really most pleasant.
