Shimmer Lake

It's Friday! What a hectic 2 weeks I have had. I sure hope that next week things will slow down a little. I just cannot get caught up on everything.

I went out a little early, before work, to try to get my blip for the day, and the clouds this morning were gorgeous. I drove to Empire Lake, and hurried to get ahead of the fishermen. There were so many out there. There was one guy waiting for me to take my shots so he could walk past me to the other side of the lake.

The wind was blowing and putting ripples in the water, so the reflections are not what I was hoping for, but it was still pretty nice.

Just as I was leaving, this Dad and his little boy, about 4 years old, were getting ready to leave after a morning of fishing. The little guy was so cute, and he was holding all the fish. I said "Boy, it looks like you two really caught some fish." He told me that the little boy caught all of them. He said "I cast the line in the water but he caught them and reeled them in." I was pretty impressed, and this little guy is so proud.
