fruits of our labour

On this lovely sun-dappled evening Sienna had followed me into the garden with a book to 'read', she had chosen 'The Thrifty Gardener" which was very apt as our peppers had just been picked! (Writing that makes me feel like we live somewhere exotic and warm, somewhere like my home country...)

I am not 100% sure but my sneaky feeling is that the pepper plants cost me more to buy (plus soil) than the cost of the two peppers I got from them!

Thrifty? - maybe not!
