One of the other thing that happens when buses stop is that street traders rush up and try to sell you snacks through the window...it can be quite entertaining watching them all running to get to the open windows when the bus stops to make a sale. This is Banepa at around 8.30 this morning. The buses have been full like this all day.

This will be my last post for a week as I'm going to the east of Nepal to stay in a village. One of those things that just happen because you talk to someone. I was at a Maoist rally in Kathmandu back in May, (as one does!) and met this guy who is a teacher in Bhojpur, who invited me to spend some time with him and his family in his village. I've met up with him a couple of times in Kathmandu since.

So, off tomorrow...
