It's all got to work.....right?

We're having a party on Friday to celebrate 300 years of the Kirk we work in.

It's all going to hell in a handbasket.

The guys were meant to replace the carpet last week. Of course it didn't happen! So they turned up on Monday and did about 4 hours work because the carpet didn't arrive...then yesterday they did another 4 hours work (they're meant to do a full day) at the end of which they discovered there wasn't enough carpet to cover the entire floor. Cue much frustration and arguing. The carpenters were, in typical workie fashion, uninterested and kept saying 'it's not our problem', 'we're just here for a job' etc. This angered us further. So apparently they're turning up tomorrow with similar carpet that they'll lay and it won't be obvious.

I'm not holding my breath...
