No sign

Not a very good photograph, I'm afraid, but I didn't get a chance to take anything else. I think it's probably the first photo I've ever taken in anger!

The story? Well, this car park was free until fairly recently, and I was unaware that they were charging. The Parking Fairy left me a little letter to say so.

According to the goon from the council whom I telephoned to express my disgust, there was adequate publicity in the local press (which I don't read) and adequate signage.

You could have fooled me...

Fortunately (for them, not me)it was only a warning and no penalty was imposed.
