Shore

Gorgeous sunny day today (almost as beautiful as yesterday) spent at South Bay Beach. Ran into friends there and relaxed on the beach in the scorching sun. I finished my book (Eat, Pray, Love)! I'm excited yet sad at the same time that it's finished. I loved it and appreciate the impact it had on me, but like most good books, it's sad when you're involvement with the story has finished.

In the evening we met (yet another) newly engaged couple for dinner in Rat Alley and then spent an evening out (which honestly, I wasn't really that excited about but my friend was...) Starting out in LKF, we ended up at a new bar called the Shore. I couldn't believe how spacious it was! Especially for Hong Kong. It had a great outdoor area with round loungers. It was still a bit too hot for the outdoor space, especially given the micro-climate the buildings around it created - all breeze was lost. But this will be a great venue in a few weeks. I loved the design of the bar top. You can see I was already half way through the bellini, which the bartender ended up giving me for free - another rarity in HK.
