Unidentified cup fungus

It's the season for fungi of all sorts. Just a brief walk around the garden today and I spotted several kinds, including this cup fungus (so called because of its shape) growing on a bale of straw. Couldn't identify it from my book - will have to investigate further. Liked the way that a small spider had built its web inside the cup.
