Off

Heading off to Gatwick Airport for my no-longer-surprise trip to France for my brother's birthday, a week late, I was obliged to take the last direct train from Lewes, at 22:40, and spend the night at the terminal.

Whilst waiting for the train I captured this image. What does the illuminated sign "Off" refer to? It very definitely wasn't off.
