Swimming

It's been a few weeks since The Boy got a sticker at swimming. We've been practising the past couple of weekends, and it seems to have done the trick as he managed to get one for doing backstroke kick today. Next week I reckon he should get the last one in the block for showing pointed toes on front and backstroke and flat feet on breaststroke. He can certainly do them all, so here's hoping. It would be a nice way to break for the October holiday.

We also had parents' evening today. Clearly both his teachers think he's a lovely, intelligent little boy. But he is not showing how clever he is because he doesn't get his tasks finished - because he is a perfectionist and does everything so meticulously it slows him down. I'm a perfectionist too, so am finding it hard to persuade him to sacrifice perfectionism for getting things completed. Over to Oranjer!
