oil drama at shieldon

I arrived at my mum's this afternoon to see this oil tanker - full of hundreds of gallons of oil - perched on the side of her driveway with a 7 ft drop on the other side. the driver had decided to reverse up the drive so that he didn't have to turn round, but he ended up nearly reversing straight down into the garden. the poor guy was gutted, he was clearly having a bad day by the look on his face.
so, after about 5 hours, having to drain all the oil (and diesel) out into another tanker, wiring the whole thing up so it wouldn't tip over, some small-talk with me and my mum and putting up with me talking photos of his embarrassing mistake, it was pulled out and thank goodness didn't fall over the edge. the poor guy...I reckon he's at home right now cracking open the wine - and mum's garden has narrowly avoided looking like the gulf of mexico.

bit of excitement though!
