Albion

The Albion Inn is a traditional Victorian street corner three room pub comprising, the vault, the snug and the lounge. It stands at the corner of Albion St next to Volunteer Street both of which lead to the former Drill Hall which was a recruiting centre during the First World War.

It is not a modern concept pub but has many artefacts from The Great War. They serve fine ales - so I am told by those who know about such things - and the most wonderful home cooked food - I can vouch for that myself.

The Landlord is a real character as you can probably tell from the chalkboard signs outside the pub. (Double click on the images and you should be able to read them more clearly)
