That reminds me.....
3 absolute legends................
................. and 3 dudes who used to play for Hibs.
Went to see the Proclaimers at the Playhouse - the gateway to Leith. They got me right there (puts hand on heart) as always. I'm a sucker for their sentimental songs of love, family and community. As well as that, they always remind me of great football moments like the World Cup in France '98 (check 58-59 seconds - it's him again) or Hibs lifting trophies.
I thought about my mother and father.
I thought about my brothers.
I thought about my wife.
I thought about my son.
I thought about my friends.
I thought about my country.
I thought about my community.
I thought about my football team.
I thought about what it meant to be their son.
I thought about what it meant to be their brother.
I thought about what it meant to be her husband.
I thought about what it meant to be his dad.
I thought about what it meant to be their friend.
I thought about what it meant to be Scottish.
I thought about what it meant to be living in Leith.
I thought about what it meant to be a Hibee.
Lucky and proud.
How do they do that?
They performed my favourite Proclaimers tune right at the end. (Video footage will be uploaded on youtube if I can ever get past the 1st stage of upload on the thing.)
(Like waiting on a bus - I'm never in any of my blips, then 3 come at once)
