They're going to hurt the gymnasts.
Thursday getting closer.
Getting more nervous.
Finishing touches on my talk this morning then out for some shopping-related distraction which turned into people-watching distraction* which turned back into shopping-related distraction**.
Walked past the World Trade Center site; now a hole in the ground being filled in by cranes and workmen. Nothing really in the way of a formal memorial - just a few condolences on the wall of the adjacent fire brigade building including these prayer flags and close to a thousand paper cranes. Nearly ten years ago now.
Headed down to Wall St.
Stopped and ate a hot dog and watched the bankers head home for the day.
Meandered around the water front and then up and (half way) over the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset.
Bee-yoo-ti-ful.
Back at the hotel now.
About to pack up my gear that is strewn around the room.
To Boston tomorrow.
Oh, and this is bloody awesome.
And... while it's the 5th here, it's the 6th back home.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNORUS!
*Once I realised every second woman was wearing gumboots and decided to photograph as many as I could.
**Note to self: you do not need (any) more dresses. Shoes on the other hand...
