Home Sweet Home
I recently started a bar job in a small market town called Warwick in Berkshire. I arrived on a Monday and everything was shut. I'll be honest, I was already making plans to leave within an hour of being there.
However over the next few days I got to see what the town was actually like and perhaps more importantly I felt a lot more comfortable at the new pub.
At the time this photo was taken I had been in Warwick for perhaps a fortnight and had just moved into my own room at the staff house. This will be home until at least Xmas so I thought I'd share it with you guys.
I've since had a room mate come and go. He was another young travelling Aussie from Melbourne who'd spent a few months in China before coming to England. As you might expect we spoke a lot of travelling and the exciting nature of everyday life in the East. For some days I was tempted to leave the UK and head off on another adventure but I've begun to appreciate what I have here.
He headed off to Stockholm about a week ago and it's been a bit lonely since. I often miss home and am always thinking of my friends back in Aus. The move to the UK has been a lot tougher than I had expected but it's just been the most incredible year and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Europe now that I'm on this side of the globe :)
