ASOPOMO Two

An unnamed Phalaenopsis cross of hybrid Phal. Taipei Gold 'Gold Star' AM/AOS onto a species Phal. amboinensis. Very waxy, excellent size, very flat and symmetrical - what we look for in the near perfect orchid flower. In its heritage is a dominant parent that has a trait unusual to the genus Phalaenopsis - fragrance. That parent has imparted the characteristic to this hybrid which has the wonderful fragrance of a spicy men's cologne. And, like most of members of this genus, it holds flower for months. Great windowsill of side table plant for a bright but indirectly lit room. Grows great with African violets. Fragrance and yellow - that will get me every time.
