The Astralabe & Cliff House

Final day of holiday in the Portmeirion village, great experience; will back blip other days soon
The village is fantastic; created by Clough Williams-Ellis from 1926 thro' to 1978 extremely well maintained this Italianate creation is outstanding. The hospitality is welcoming, the whole area needs you to spend more time than we could give.
The Astrolabe is atop the rotunda or grotto built in 1954 and is pictured in front of Cliff House which was the last fully detailed building designed in 1967 and opened in 1969
