while gardening...

One of those fine, early autumn days today, so gardening needed to be done (hopefully the last grass cut of the year!). So it seemed appropriate to blip from the garden. Fallen crab apples have attracted feasting fruit flies, like this one resting on a sunlit leaf.
I shot this in mono to bring out a 'still life' quality, using my trusty old GRd,which is a great camera for mono.
Btw, for all my gardening efforts, it still looks only up to neighbourhood average!
