Cage.

It's not a robin, in fact it's a little bird made out of papier mache, but the sentiment is the same.

Essentially Blake was thinking about man and the way he interferes with nature, but this line resonates for me in other ways too. It speaks of entrapment; entrapment inside the mind, inside the body and inside a space. It speaks of loss of control; control over choices, affairs and mobility.

I don't do "heaven", but I do understand the anger. After all, freedom is supposed to be an inalienable human right. A right that only we can give away.

PS I know it's not a robin!
