Panther caps
What a glorious day we have enjoyed in the Cotswolds. I escaped to the woods to enjoy the sun and take photos of the numerous toadstools and fungi which grow in quantity there.
A couple of weeks ago I Blipped a picture of Blushers;
Blushers
Which are so commonly mixed up with the very poisonous Panther Caps; after much research I am fairly confident that these are they, looking very pretty but for photographing only. The Blushers are more obviously pink and rosy, while these Panther Caps are much darker, almost brown and the ones which had been disturbed did not have 'blushing' stems.
There is something small and bright purple hiding behind the left hand Cap, which I first thought was a piece of plastic but on closer inspection turned out to be a pair of tiny, cheeky little Amethyst Deceivers having their picture taken too!
