Preparing for takeoff!

i think the Harlequin ladybird (though not sure might just be a very dotty common ladybird lol) was just checking out the use of its wings, Got a few pictures of it stretching each wing in turn, then it did this position and then it was gone!

Harlequin ladybird are a threat to the other species we have in the uk apparently. Don't see many down these parts luckily. They did do a survey of them a few years ago i seem to remember.

Well it beats another picture of a sparrow for now huh ;) and the two lil blue tits i swear are avoiding the camera!
