Big sister

The office was closed today because the daughter of one of the outreach workers was getting married and there was a celebration held at the family home, in a village some distance from Banepa. As is the way with Nepali people I was made to feel incredibly welcome.

This was taken in low light, without a flash. (I don't really like using flash anyway, but that's another story). It is the big sister (didi) of the woman getting married, and her son. Not technically perfect,(maybe a little too grainy, but can't be helped), but I really liked the colours, and her face has a certain radiance about it that kind of summed up the day.
