Kit washing

Up at 6:30am on a Sunday to help instruct some Sport Diver training. Rescue drills, compass navigation and DSMB deployment (sending up a delayed marker buoy from the seabed so a boat can see where you'll surface).

My students H and T did a great job, and made my day as easy as and intensive 7 hours of training can be!

The day was not entirely without mishap...

- M's "drysuit" suit was actually full of water after his second dive (but he completed his Sport Diver course - well done!
- T had a nosebleed that forced him to sit out the afternoon session
- T and H were both so wet they had to wring their socks out
- H's drysuit zip broke completely, and we had to cut her out with trauma shears (second hand drysuit salesman to get a visit shortly...)
- H didn't notice, but the buoyancy jacket she borrowed from MrsCyclops has a leaky corrugated hose

Diving days aren't usually this eventful...

Home at 8pm, with two sets of kit to wash.

Fortunately the very lovely MrsCyclops made me dinner and cakes, so the evening has still been pleasant.
