FLOOD DEFENSES

Spurred on by Hellonwheel's blip to get up and go out, I found the cottage around the corner up to its gunnels in the River Aire. Their garden was submerged as were most of their conifer trees, and I can't imagine that anyone would fancy sitting with a cup of tea on the garden bench.

This is a beautiful cottage and they have worked hard on their garden, but the council's local flood plans have sorely let them down again.
