The end of summer is here

The end of summer comes with the slow arrival of the cool nights of fall. Autumn is my favorite season but I am always a bit sorry to see the summer finally leave us. This butterfly bush is holding on to the last days of summer with just two remaining flower clusters. Today, with the warm sunshine and balmy air reminding me of the hot summer days, seemed an appropriate day for this shot.
