The (not so) quiet life

Fill Yer Boots

That's exactly what Abigail did when we were out this afternoon. First with puddle water (acceptable given the depth of the puddles) and then with pee (just not). After a morning spent about the house sleeping (Neil), battling sleep deprivation (me) watching the new Monsters versus aliens DVD (Abigail) and surfing the carpet for any stray crisp crumbs (Katy) we decided to make the most of the break in the clouds and head up to loch Glass for a bit of fresh air.

Abi was totally unimpressed by the scenery but absolutely delighted by the monumentally huge puddles left behind by the recent torrential rain. She and Gregor spent most of their time jumping, stomping and kicking water at each other until they were well and truly soaked. They ran the whole mile and a half to the loch powered by nothing more than a fruit shoot. Big mistake. They both announced they needed a pee. Gregor managed admirably Abi, unfortunately did not. With Neils help she managed to pee into her boots (no mean feat/feet). Her nice new, pink sparkly wellies were half full of pee as she merrily squelched and danced about utterly destroying the serenity and scaring off any wildlife within a 14 mile radius. The rest of us fell about laughing but not one to be easliy embarassed Abi tipped out the wellies and embarked on the march back to the car racing through any puddles she could find on the way.

This photo is of the pink lodge on the loch, which is part of the Wyvis estate. I'm told there used to be dances held there and given the trek to get there I hope they were good.
