Waipara

I supported pixelsmiths, Kiwidino and J on their Molesworth Muster mountain bike event. We drove up on Friday through some truly spectacular scenery and camped overnight. I drove out this morning, couldn't see any of the scenery as all the support vehicles drove out in convoy along gravel tracks, the dust was terrible.

One and a half hours later 600 mountain bikers started the 80km race. Conditions were extremely dusty and to make matters worse they cycled into a headwind, not pleasant.

All three made it back to Hanmer arriving within half an hour of each other, liberally coated in dust. Congratulations guys, great effort.

Barking drove to Hanmer to join in the fun and to pick me up, the boys are enjoying a well earned beer and I suspect an early night in Hanmer.

Barking and I spotted this light over the vineyards of Waipara on the way home. Waipara is about 40 minutes drive North of Christchurch.
