Telling the untold tale

Backblip - completing the Ghana series.

Today I payed a visit to the castle of Cape Coast, which has long been the centre of British power in western Africa. As for the Dutch in Elmina, British history here is not one to be proud of. This man was the one who had the job to tell this quite shocking tale, which comes to life if you walk around the place. The dungeons, the 'door of no return', the floor which consists of blood, sweat and tears (litteraly), they all add to the feel of horror. It's good to have been there and realize the shameful history of our ancestors.

Outside people were living their daily lives, because this is something of the past. The most important issue nowadays for most people is, quite simply, to earn dinner for the family. Right outside fishermen were preparing for another day at sea:
