Toots in Solitude

No boots needed

When Donald calls I usually ask him to take one or two spiders and throw them far away into the wood. When he returns I check his hands to ensure he's not going to smuggle them back into the house. Lately when he calls he says that he is just going to look for a few conkers. Today, I suddenly thought, "he's not off to look for conkers, he's off to visit his wee friends," so I checked his hands again, you just can't quite trust these house-spider social workers.
I had my walking boots on and Donald and I had full intentions of going on an autumn excursion. After calling in on his Drew Barrymore favourite we drove on all sorts of roads we'd never ventured before and kept coming to very scenic view points. We'd stop and camera-scan the landscape until we realised that time had run out for a decent walk and the car fuel needle was also in need of refreshment. A beautiful day.
