Today, we went on a walk organised by Jan and Steve's local village. We met the guide and the other villagers at 9.30, were given a bag with our breakfast in, and we set off up into the hills around the village. We stopped for breakfast after about 45 minutes, which consisted of a crusty roll with ham and cheese, a banana, a satsuma and a bottle of water. Very tasty, but as I'd had a bowl of porridge before we'd set off, I wasn't all that hungry.
The walk lasted another couple of hours, with the guide stopping every now and then to talk about some aspect of the vegetation. Of course, she was speaking in Catalan so I couldn't understand a word (well, maybe a few words that sound similar to the English) but Jan and Steve were able to translate for me - their Catalan has really improved since I was here last year.
After the walk, we went for a coffee in the village, a look around their village house, which is really coming on, and then home for a snooze and a local walk with Jasper. A lovely day!
In spite of all the lovely scenery, I've chosen to blip a close up of the blind that hangs at their front door in the finca. It really caught my eye!
