Wistful

Quiet day today, did all the housework yesterday, so I suggested to Roy we went out for some tapas for lunch. Drove into Torreveija, is it a 'man' thing NOT to park in car parks. We drove past the car park for the promenade, which is were all the restaurants are situated, instead we spent a fruitless 15 minutes driving round the back streets of Torre searching for a parking space. The fact that it is a Sunday and all the spaniards are at home, therefore all the side streets are full of their cars, did not occur to Roy. Finally I got fed up, lost my temper with him and told him to put the car in the marina car park, which he duly did.

Pleasant lunch, and then a stroll back down the Prom. The town hall of Torre have spent millions of euros upgrading the promenade. Lots of seating areas and bronze statues. I noticed this one, I don't think the Spanish guys realised that where they were standing that this bronze lady looked as though she was looking wistfully at their torso's!.
