Hardy Aster

The temperatures dipped into the 30s F last night, yesterday I had to turn the heat on, and the asters are showing a bit of wear. Since they haven't been blipped yet, I thought I should feature them before it's too late.

The plant withstands our winters, is resistant to mildew, spreads slowly, and the deer do not eat it. It also blooms when most everything else is finished.

Today is movie day with my son. We're moving through a top 100 films of all time (list compiled by various critics; www.theyshootpictures.com) and today is a double-header.
