White A4 paper over the fur gives a nice simple background. The light through the northish facing bay window is varying, depending on what effect I am looking for. Overcast in the morning gives a nice flat light reflected from the clouds, late evening sunshine comes through the very edge of the window on the left for sunlit shots with strong shadows. If I want a dark background (example is a peace lily blip from a few weeks back - http://www.blipfoto.com/view.php?id=699102&month=8&year=2010), I pull the curtains!
