Flotsam Footballs
I can spot at least 7 footballs, 2 rugby balls, 3 tennis balls and many colourful small plastic balls.
All that recent rainfall resulting in high water levels has meant all the crap (from the summer?) has been picked up from the river banks further upstream.
There's a stretch of the Grand Union Canal where the River Brent joins before flowing into the Thames, giving more water flow than normal on the canal. This photo was taken just before a weir where the river splits off again temporarily. This lighter floatier stuff has overshot the flow down to the weir and is sitting stuck in a stiller pool near the next canal lock.
Not sure if all this actually flotsam, but as a title Jetsam Balls doesn't have the same alliterative appeal as Flotsam Footballs.
Maybe better viewed in large size.
