The Graveyard Book
Last thing at night, remembered what a loss of a day it had been and snapped my new book, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. One of the few I don't have already which I picked up on my long meander through town today.
My first day of having no commitments didn't go very well. After checking email and catching up news etcetera I thought I would spend the afternoon wandering through town. I picked up the Motorhead/Girlschool 10" of St. Valentines Day Massacre from Unknown Pleasures, ended up across town at Lupe Pinto where I procured supplies for Jen's birthday dinner tomorrow night. Stopped for a Dragon Stout in Brauhaus and then picked up said book from Transreal at the top of the Grassmarket.
Arriving back in the house I was disappointed with my return on four hours of walking and still couldn't work out what to do with my time.
I made a start on tomorrow's dinner and tidied up after myself, watched some TV and around 11pm decided that maybe an early night was the best thing to do.
Before the 2 months of hospitals and work I'm sure I used to do much more with my Saturdays, it is going to take some practice to get the hang of it again...
