macro me!
busy day here in yyc - inspired by fellow blippers - I plumped for the new Canon macro lens and as I had finished a long bike ride (to Chestermere and back) and took a wrong turn - missed my planned photo this evening - so this is a quick example shot - photo #5 with said lens..... I chucked the dime on for reference - not quite expecting the detail to so so vividly.
Long winter nights here in yyc so I expect we will be sseeing a few more macros....
Oh yes - camera survived a dropping....... the wrong turn led to the path ending - me carrying bike along a narrow ledge some 20 feet above a slew, put camera over fence, then bike, camera fell through a hole in the fence into the banks of the slew (the aforementioned 20 feet...) eek! Thinktank photo holster (D20) buried in mud (classic deceleration...) would have taken photo of it apart from the fact the photographic payload was in the descent module. All in a day's adventure here...
