Letters of Gilt

As I was driving home this afternoon I got thinking about the person in the woods yesterday and became wracked with guilt that I didn't try to wake him to make sure he was okay. I rang the police when I got in and they told me that he had moved on by the time they went to investigate.
At least my initial hunch that he was sleeping off a 'binge' was correct - but if I ever come across a similar situation I think I'll make sure before I move off.
