Dandy Dons
Enjoyable afternoon at the football today, as a temporary member of the Red Army. My brother had a spare ticket for the Aberdeen end against Caley Thistle. I've never been in the Away end before - Caley winning 2-0 against a pretty dismal Aberdeen team. People watching was good too...
There was the guy who was walking to his seat as the ball went behind the goal - he confidently took the ball on his chest, then his thigh, steadied himself for the volley back to the goalkeeper, and kicked through thin air and landed on his back. The biggest cheer from the Dons' fans all afternoon.
When a player was stretchered off, a little boy behind asked where he was going. "To the hospital", replied his Dad, to which the little boy asked, "Will they phone his Mum?".
The die hards got quite abusive too when the Inverness natives waved them cheerio as they left before the end. Maybe they're not used to Highland hospitality... :)
