The Life of an 11 Year Old Boy

I woke up early today and spent a good two hours trying to figure out what I was going to do for today's blip...I drank a cup of coffee, did a load of laundry and when it came out of the dryer, I took it to my still sleeping son's room and started to fold it an put it away.

I watched him as he began to wake up, snuggled up under his GI Joe comforter, folding his pajamas and putting them away, there were about a dozen silly bandz in my laundry basket and I asked him what where he had put them as I sat them on his night stand. He looked at me thoughtfully and then his eyes brightened and a smile lit up his face. "In my pocket mom!"

On his floor were his Miranda Cosgrove (I-Carly) People Edition Magazine, a few silly bandz, and some Club Penguin cards. And that is how I came up with this blip.

Austen turned 11, two days ago. What it must be like to glimpse at the mind of an 11 year old boy. I-Carly...a glimpse at what is to come, GI Joe's, a Nintendo DS, The Lightning Thief, Iron Man, Cub Penguin, Silly Bandz, and a collage picture...that shows the day my 11 year old was born, a shot with his mama, with his brother and two of his sisters, Christmas with his best friend and big sister Maggie, his first picture day at school.

And I wonder where has the time gone...
