7.55am....

....I set off for work on my push bike, assured by the BBC Weather on-line forecast that the monsoon strength rain storm would skirt round Edinburgh and we would have a fine, bright, cold day.

Meanwhile, 0.5 miles away on Princes Street, the non-conformist rain loud of monsoon strength was pissing it down big time on the commuters of Edinburgh.

So, I get about half way up Leith Street and cycle straight into Hurricane Michael (Fish).....too late to turn back but not properly clothed for driving, freezing rain all the way along Princes Street and up Lothain Road...and don't get me started about Taxi's driving through the puddles at high speed and soaking me.

....tonight my bikeriding gear is drying in the airing cupboard; it'll take all night, and I hate the BBC.
