The tomatoes are in

We've given up waiting for the accidental tomatoes to ripen au natural. B brought them in last night. She has been told that green tomatoes will ripen if you put them in a bowl with red tomatoes (those are from the fridge). I'm not convinced that tomatoes really respond to peer pressure, but I guess leaving them in a bowl in the kitchen window will maximise their access to whatever sunlight we are allowed over the next few days - and that might help.
