Captured sunshine
Today I made a short detour to the Arboretum on my way home from the dentist's office where I had a broken crown replaced...for the third time! With that unpleasantness behind me, I thought the peacefulness of the Arboretum would soothe my soul. It always does. To me, there is something special about being outdoors, and the Arboretum is an extra-special place.
I went first to the butterfly garden to see if there were any lingering butterflies or dragonflies. My expectations weren't high, and it's a good thing. There was nary a butterfly in sight <sigh>! However, I wandered on and blipped some frogs. They didn't seem to be the least bothered by the grey dampness of the morning. I chatted with a school bus driver who was there with students on a field trip. She stopped me to asked if I was getting any good pictures and to exclaim about how much she enjoys "this kind of field trip." It made me think of blippers Tookie and CEW.
I decided to post the frog pictures and a few landscape shots on my blog and share this sunny flower with you. If your day was grey, I hope this makes it a bit brighter.
