Whilst waiting for the nurse I spotted this gorgeous balustrade. I think the building, set in Ryelands Park, Lancaster, was once Lord Ashtons residence. If that is what the stairs look like then I can only imagine what the rest of the house looked like, before it was plastered in posters advising on diabetes, smoking cessastion and the perils of under age sex...
