Fallen tree

Since last Sunday, we've had 12"-14" of rain fall in our neighborhood. We needed the rain badly. Now, we need it to stop! Last night another squall came through in torrents with 25-35 MPH winds.

This morning, while checking around the outside of the house, we found that our next door neighbor's live oak tree had fallen. With the ground being so saturated, the roots could not stand up to the winds. Fortunately, it fell between the houses bushing their house slightly, sparing ours with no real damage to either.

The weather folks warned of tropical rains with moderate winds. They were right! The worst has passed with sunny days ahead.
