Grinderman
(backblipped)
If I thought Tuesday was busy, today was absolutely crazy. I was out of the house at 6.15am to catch the early train to London where I was facilitating a workshop in our office at Victoria, after catching a horrible rush hour tube. Workshop went well, and thankfully finished on time (due to superb facilitation, of course!), giving me enough time to get to Euston for the 16:20 so I could just about have time get home and ready to go out... only Victoria station was cordoned off by police for some reason, so I had to shove through the crowds in the rain, quickly trying to recall the tube map to work out an alternative route, rush over to St James Park as quick as pregnant bump and crowds would allow, get up to Euston via Circle/Northern lines... for 16:21 - aargh! Eventually arrived home with 5mins to get into non-office clothes, rake a brush through my hair and leave for Manchester (with fleeting hello to little boy).
Grinderman were fantastic though and I immediately forgot about the rest of the day. Hard to believe they're in their fifties and still writing music that's more original than many young bands in their twenties.
Oh, and sorry about the poor quality photography. What I wouldn't give to be let into the pit with a decent camera and fast lens!
