this is rebecca.

when we left in july so was doing great: healthy weight and finally starting to smile.

when i came back a week ago as soon as i picked her up i could tell she'd lost a lot of weight and she really didn't seem very happy. gosh, poor little love.

i made sure i watched her have dinner this week so i could see what was going on. the babies are sat around a bowl of nshima and sauce and it's every baby for himself. rebecca was just dipping her fingers into the sauce and licking them but none of the 'carers' seemed bothered. so i sat there and shovelled nshima into her mouth. hoorah! there's a german volunteer them who's going to make sure mealtimes are a little more fair for rebecca!
