BRING ME SUNSHINE...

I'm going to be brief today. (Believe that and you'll believe anything.) These flowers are blooming everywhere now. They grow along road and riversides in their masses. The local people call them margherita selvatica, wild daisy. Google seems to indicate they are wild sunflowers. They do not, however, follow the sun in the same dramatic way that sunflowers do. They are enormous, at least 8 feet (2.50 meters) high. On grey days they are like a blitz of sunshine in the gloom. Quite good large.

I did a full shot of those growing by the car repair shop. We could park there. There are larger fields of them along the road but the road is hazardous. A mass of wild sunflowers.

I tried to remove the out-of-focus bit behind the flower, made a mess of it, so this is straight from the camera.
