Goodbye Indie

Wow, what a long day. Probably one of the toughest days I have ever had. Me and my ex-wife decided that it would be more humane to put our beautiful dog to sleep. We had to push through our selfish desires and do what was right. The meds and transfusion did nothing to slow down her Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia. We took her outside to feel the breeze one last time before we said our goodbyes. This may seem silly to some people. Hell, I never thought that I could love anything this much that couldn't talk! If you have ever gone through this, though, you know how heart wrenching it is. She was a godsend, and she was what we needed, when we needed it. When we felt the most alone, she reminded us how much she needed us, and loved us in return. She will be the pet that all other pets will be compared. I love you Indie. Sweet dreams.
